"Trump" alias[edit]

Many people call Donald Trump simply "Trump" - would someone mind adding it as an alias? Thanks!  – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shalstvedt (talk • contribs) at 02:13, 12 August 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Residence since... 2017?[edit]

Is it possible removing or at least marking as deprecated the "residence (P551)"="White House (Q35525)" / "since=20 January 2017" claim? Wikidata is not a crystal ball, it isn't sourced and it's causing problems in infoboxes. Strakhov (talk) 21:53, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Instance of racist[edit]

Proof of the validity of the claim:
according to Wikidata, a racist is a person who is characterized from its use of racial, ethnic or religious discrimination.
I also read from CNN that "Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on,".
So, Trump is saying that people that are instances of specific religion should have a different treatment (they can't enter United States).
Hence Donald Trump is a racist. --Ogoorcs (talk) 01:55, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikidata doesn't classify people as "racists" or "terrorists" or other titles based on user interpretations (e.g it isn't valid statement "Trump is racist according to Ogoorcs") . You should give strong sources such as foreign governments, historians etc who call him racist. Eran (talk) 18:28, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've given a strong source: CNN. In the article is affirmed that Trump promotes a law that makes a specific religious group of people different from all the others, that is, according to any vocabulary and its definition in this database, a racial discrimination; the statement then follow from the fact that someone who promotes racial discriminations is a racist. I think would be savvy to add a point in time to the instance, making it more precise, considering the chance that he could change idea about it in the future.
What are we doing here in this instance is logically deriving a statement from others (referenced) statements. It's the same as adding the property "occupation: criminal" to people who have many instances of referenced "convicted for: homicide". Are you saying that if journalists/historians/foreign governments say that someone partecipated in a bombing planning but they don't explicitly say that he's a criminal we can't add that to his occupation property?
This borderline case, as many others, is why we can't ignore logically derived statements in wikidata and any other wikimedia project. --Ogoorcs (talk) 12:34, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please add kl:Donald_Trump.[edit]

References[edit]

It's somewhat embarrassing how many statements on such a high-value item do not cite any references. I guess people would object to me deleting unsourced statements wholesale. But would be unreasonable at least to ask for all future changes to include references? And could we set a deadline for existing statements? Setting this to The day after the election, for example, would maybe defuse any controversy? --Matthias Winkelmann (talk) 00:27, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • This should be dealt with like all other items. Feel free to add references.
I think it's being monitored like all other candidates. --- Jura 10:42, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Billionaire From Occupation[edit]

In my opinion, being a billionaire is a amount of money not a occupation. If you disagree feel free to revert and discuss here. Doctor of Patriot Relations 🇺🇸 (talk) 08:16, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
