Date of inception[edit]
Currently says 1850, but reference is to French Wikipedia and I could not verify it. The English Wikipedia page has references and several different dates mentioned. Not sure what is appropriate - can a historian look at this? It seems like 1867 might be more accurate as the inception? (from source) 1849 - St. Anthony surveyed, platted (east of the Mississippi river) 1850 - first frame house built in present-day Minneapolis 1852 - Minneapolis name selected for the land west of the Mississippi river 1856 - legislatively authorized 1858 - govt organized 1866 - attempted to be incorporated including St. Anthony, and did not pass 1867 - incorporated as Minneapolis 1872 - Minneapolis joined w/ St. Anthony Still life with noodles (talk) 14:00, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
