Fix of birth and death date[edit]
The death date claimed a specific date imported from the German Wikipedia, but Wikipedias are not reliable sources. Other more reliable sources say the year was about 1028.
Wikidata dates are ALWAYS stored as Gregorian dates. The date stored for the birth date was 9 September 1087, which is the Julian date of William I's death. I corrected it to the Gregorian date, 15 September 1087. I also added a reference to a reliable source. Jc3s5h (talk) 13:45, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

Coat of arms...[edit]
William died in 1087. The first coat of arms do not appear until the 1130s, with them not becoming common until the 1190s and later. William did not have a coat of arms. Ealdgyth (talk) 12:37, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
