This is data from w:no:Statens kartverk, and if you have questions about the accuracy for the numbers you should probably ask them. I have although reason to believe them to be quite accurate, and more so than the previous numbers. Visual inspection could indicate that the numbers are raw dumps, and not a result of any real consideration. The download page is given in the references.[1]
Summerer du "floder", "sjöar" och "territorialvatten" får du "vattenyta" såvidt jeg vet, og fastland og øyer er alt du kan gå på.
I have not fixed the deprecation of old numbers for the municipalities, and neither set the preferred statement. If you want something that resembles the old values you should use the value for mainland and islands. Jeblad (talk) 13:45, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Jeblad: Who am I to question the precision of Norska Kartverkets numbers? If Kartverket tells you how many cm2 forrest there is in Finnmark, that is the truth and nothing but the truth. Just like when the King of Norway says it is syttonde maj, then it is syttonde maj no matter what day it is! 62 etc (talk) 15:18, 11 November 2019 (UTC) (Mange takk!)[reply]
@Sextvåetc: Seems like they use about 0.001 cm² as precision in the dataset, which does not seem to be a very likely. I would expect the numbers to be around 1 m² or 6 decimals after the decimal point for 1 km², or somewhat better. Checking docs for the N50 series of maps they seems to target a 1 m global resolution, and 1 cm locally.[2][3] A small lake (or whatever area object) could have a 10 decimal digit resolution, while a large lake could have 6 decimal digits, given a 1 km² base size. Now it is 14 decimal digits. (A summation and random errors should give a pretty pointy error function, but 14 digits seems a lot…) Compare to Moss (Q13418001) where area (P2046) is given by Statistics Norway (Q2367019), and they only use two decimal digits. I will not round the numbers down, this is the numbers Norwegian Mapping and Cadastre Authority (Q2728585) have published and should be left as they are, but feel free to do so in the Swedish temlplates.
