Inception vs. Settled[edit]
Hi - UWashPrincipalCataloger - shouldn't the inception (P571) for Seattle (Q5083) be 1853-05-23? The date currently shown is the date the Denny party landed at Alki Beach. In between that date & the city's founding, wasn't the settlement known as Duwamps?
I've been looking for a date to indicate when an area was first settled, but I cannot figure out how to do that / make it separate from the inception date.

It may depend on whether separate items are created for the different names a place has had. Many items just lump all names under one description. This is certainly true for many corporate bodies where the inception date is given for the original name. Duwamps does not have its own item.
