User pages links

Hi Andreasmperu, indeed, I am aware of the fact that Wikidate elements must not contain solely user pages links, but the thing is, apparantly my username is confusing to dutch speaking users, because "Lotje" means "Lot" from the Lottery. As for one or another reason the ILL does not function anymore, I thought it wise to look for a solution over here. If you think this is not correct, plse let me know. Thanks for your time. Plaatje

Hoi Lotje, ik zag dat je een plaatje hebt toegevoegd aan een van mijn lijstjes. Deze lijstjes worden automatisch bijgewerkt. Als je het plaatje erbij zet in het item dan wordt de lijst later bijgewerkt. Als je het andersom doet dan wordt het plaatje bij de volgende update weer weggehaald. The answer is simple, though: There is no image because nobody ever added one. Henk Scholte

Hoi Lotje, het Q-item Henk Scholte gaat over doorverwijspagina's (momenteel is er alleen een op nl-wiki). Je had een Commons categorie toegevoegd aan dat Q-item maar dat gaat over de biljarter Henk Scholte en niet over alle Henk Scholte's. Ik heb die verwijzing naar de Commons categorie maar weggehaald en hoop dat je daar begrip voor hebt. - Robotje (talk) 12:31, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Call for participation in the interview study with Wikidata editors

Dear Lotje,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King’s College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research that develops a personalized recommendation system to suggest Wikidata items for the editors based on their interests and preferences. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I would love to talk with you to know about your current ways to choose the items you work on in Wikidata and understand the factors that might influence such a decision. Your cooperation will give us valuable insights into building a recommender system that can help improve your editing experience.

Participation is completely voluntary. You have the option to withdraw at any time. Your data will be processed under the terms of UK data protection law (including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018). The information and data that you provide will remain confidential; it will only be stored on the password-protected computer of the researchers. We will use the results anonymized to provide insights into the practices of the editors in item selection processes for editing and publish the results of the study to a research venue. If you decide to take part, we will ask you to sign a consent form, and you will be given a copy of this consent form to keep.

family names for disambigation pages

"Family name" (Property:P734) is mostly for humans (Q5). It is not for disambiguation pages and some other item types.

In Property:P734, under "Constraints" > "conflicts-with constraint", there are some forbidden data types.

Family names in disambiguation pages cause entries in lists like this one: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Database_reports/Constraint_violations/P734#%22Conflicts_with_instance_of_(P31)%22_violations_2

Both pages are not really easy to read, unfortunately, but I don't have anything better.

In https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q112134595&oldid=1648052630, there are special "different from" and "criterion used" properties to distinguish family names from disambiguation pages: Q27924673.

Family names

Hi Lotje, I just want to come by and say clarify that family name items should only be merged if they are identical (Bojan (Q36946532) and Béjar (Q36659240) are not) and that commons links should be only be made to family names that are identical to their target this link that you put here I moved to here instead. No need to appologize Lotje, everyone makes mistakes. As for Commons:Category:Konstantinos Tragas I would personally be inclined to move the category to match the English name on Wikidata, but I am not a Greek speaker so I am no authority on the subject of Greek names.
