Candidatura

Visto che sei molto attivo in Requests for deletions e non mi pare di aver visto edit errati, accetteresti la candidature come amministratore? Sicuramente ci daresti meno lavoro . All'inizio potresti lavorare principalmente sulle cancellazioni e piano piano in seguito svolgere anche le altre attività tipiche dell'amministratore. Tieni conto che al momento su Wikidata, le situazioni di conflitto, sono decisamente inferiori rispetto a Wikipedia, come puoi vedere da qui. Se accetti la candidature farò io la proposta in Wikidata:Requests for permissions/Administrator e tu dovrai solo accettare (vedi qua per un esempio). Fammi sapere in ogni caso. Merging items

Hallo Marcol-it,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

Camera Café

Merging

Thanks for noticing and fixing the duplicated given name items.

But why request for deletion and not redirect? You do many requests and they are correct in far most cases, so redirecting is really quite appropriate. Lymantria (talk) 15:15, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Two meanings of "pamphlet"

Hi Marcol-it; probably you are not aware of this discussion? I just meticulously separated the two very different meanings of "pamphlet" to create the new item Q18536349, as some languages use the term "pamphlet" to describe an "unbound booklet", which is the meaning of Q190399, and in other languages it has a different meaning, a text of a polemical nature. There were complaints about wrong interwikis in the German-language Wikipedia because of this. So, the splitting of "pamphlet" into the two items Q18536349 and Q190399 was very deliberate and thought-through - these are two items sharing the same label, but not the same topic. So I'll take the liberty of undoing your certainly well-meant merging, please also have a look at the project chat discussion I mentioned. Gestumblindi (talk) 22:35, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the help. For my part, I wasn't aware of the existence of Wikidata:Do not merge and would have added the items there, if I knew. However, that page is gigantic at 1,811,437 bytes - I can't get it to load in my browser. I suppose it will ever grow and grow and maybe it would be good to find a different solution to store "do not merge" data than such a single page? Gestumblindi (talk) 20:26, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
