- Thanks a lot! I was afraid I might have offended you with my comment on Commons about the use of reference URL (P854) and retrieved (P813) on import references. I planned to apologize and still want to do so if I've offended you! Thanks for your reply, so I hope I'll somewhen find the time to adapt the code to scrape more of the data from https://www.sammlung.pinakothek.de (it will need some work to parse the natural language of the technique and provenance fields I guess)! --Marsupium (talk) 08:54, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I see that your bot is adding RKD artists references which is a very welcome addition. Maybe it can also add stated in (P248)RKDartists (Q17299517), so that we can use them in Wikipédia with a proper format ? --Zolo (talk) 22:17, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
- Additionally, it might be better to use RKDartists ID (P650) instead of reference URL (P854). Help:Sources#Databases recommends this and I followed it the last time. Boths ways have advantages probably. However, we should use one of them to make querying and the use by Wikipedias and others easier. --Marsupium (talk) 07:07, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

- Sorry, thought I replied. The Help:Sources page has always been quite messy and not clear if it was based on consensus. For now my aim is to have things better sourced. At some point in the future we might have clear consensus how to structure everything and another botrun can be done to tweak it. Multichill (talk) 09:35, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

- I trust them more than you ;-)
- Netherlands Institute for Art History (Q758610) is a very large and respected art institute. Art historians are humans too, so mistakes might happen. I'll ask them to check https://rkd.nl/en/explore/artists/252473 . I assume they have a paper source for it. Do you happen to have some source about him after 2006?
- Removing sources statements is generally not the right way to go, especially when added by a bot, the bot will just re-add the statement. I set the rank to deprecated now and disputed until it's checked by the RKD. Multichill (talk) 09:35, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Sporti: just got a reply from the RKD (yes, they are very fast!): The sources were judged to be unreliable. The sources and date of death have been removed.
