@Somnifuguist: Cancelled sports events are not inherently not notable (see, for example, the 1994 World Series (Q1134635)). Is it possible to add anything else substantive about these five cancelled portions of the event? Mahir256 (talk) 03:35, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

@Mahir256: I don't think so, no. The tournament, 2020 Wimbledon Championships (Q64514062), was cancelled well before anything substantive could be written about the individual events, and the defending champions etc. have been transferred to this year's tournament, e.g. for the men's singles event it is Novak Djokovic from 2019−the 2020 non-events have no significance. @Pommée: I reverted your addition of 2020 Wimbledon Championships (Q64514062) to the list. This proposal is for the individual events only, which have no articles on Wikipedia. The tournament itself and its cancellation were covered by the media, and we have wiki articles for it in 6 languages, so I think it passes WD:N. This has been asked and answered a few times. You might wish to contact Oversight, since in any case deleting your entry does not necessary delete all history.

On one hand, I am sympathetic to your plight (although I really feel like your entry is just fine – many researchers would be proud to have half your publication record!). On the other hand, the general principle at play is this: Wikidata is a reflection of information that's out in the open. There's nothing in your entry that is not on the internet somewhere else, and you do not really have the right to object to your public information being repeated somewhere, as long as it is not done maliciously or in a way that paints you in a false light. Wikipedia/Wikidata pretty much decides who is notable – a lot of people want to be notable and aren't, and some don't necessarily want to be notable but still are.

Our fellow programmer still can't come to term with the fact that there's some more known namesake who is more notable for Wikidata. Now he starts talking that he's allegedly that biologist who doesn't supposedly want to have the corresponded item for his identity. My friend we know your motivation, you just want to make your personal Google Knowledge Graph more unified with the information about you only, but you didn't take into account that Google already has the information about you both, and that Wikidata is not related with the way Google uses information which was taken from WD. 1) None of these are remotely serious. (3) looks like a predatory journal that cites (4), (2) and (1) seem to be vanity journalism. The tone alone does not indicate serious journalism about the subject. 2) Also, it looks very much like WP:FRINGE applies here to some extent. If you are this person (or their PR agent), you might not actually want an entry that will eventually read something like 'guy with weird, fringe economic ideas' in the description. 3) Please sign your messages. i can list down 1000's of entries like this which have no sources added abp and news24 still you choose to remove it don't know whats wrong with editors

do you only keep pages of the people who have paid you? – it's probably not a good idea to pursue your case by making unfounded allegations of COIs. In either case, the fact that entries exist that violate WD:N does not obviate the rules themselves.
