Spain is formed by 17 autonomous community of Spain (Q10742); most of them have their own Statute of Autonomy (Q731236), a high level law under Spanish Constitution to regulate regional developement of their autonomous area of competence (Q114038553). Among others, the structure of its specific territory may be reviewed/adjusted by cultural or historic reasons. In this context, only a few autonomous community made changes on territory levels of structure, create their own coding statistic system and have open data base with several aspects of their community. Unlike these, most of them, keep same criteria and even share information infrastructure with the central spanish institutions. Existence of municipality of the Valencian Community (Q123754112) is necessary because is not -structurally-the same as municipality of Spain (Q2074737). The concept is the same in Spain, in France or in Germany, however, its subdivisions and its upper aggregation level are diferent, by law.[1] We may underestand that not all editors known this specifications and, as Catalonia, Pais Valencià or Galicia are in Spain, is easy get wrong. @Fralambert I think this decision is a mistake. The user Albert and his "friends" from the Catalan Wikipedia have come together to defend this totally unnecessary separation. It is they, and only them, who make distinction for the region. All municipalities in Spain have exactly the same powers, they are only differentiated by the number of inhabitants, not by the region (autonomous community) to which you belong.

The reason for the existence of the item "municipality of the Valencian Community" is to avoid the term "Spain". Only and exclusively that reason. It has no other reason or justification. I ask you to review the final decision. Thank you. Lopezsuarez (talk) 02:25, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
