- Approved task "importing taxon name from en.wiki". Regards, Vogone talk 14:52, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, I'm currently importing it from sv.wiki (and also setting "taxon level" and some labels)... --Ricordisamoa 20:21, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Also approved, including "taxon level". Furthermore, it does not really matter whether you import from svwiki or enwiki. I've just chosen enwiki for my comment because that was your initial request. Regards, Vogone talk 20:35, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Task/s: importing taxon name from en.wiki
Function details: It uses ACimport.js: cycles in all pages with {{Taxobox}} and, if a binomial name is found, it will add it, with the appropriate reference. Fairly simple.
In the future, it could add also the taxon name as label for languages that don't have one yet; I'm planning to switch to Pywikipediabot soon, though. --Ricordisamoa 12:44, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here are some test edits. --Ricordisamoa 12:55, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Question can you add target redirect as link instead of non-links : instead of Biston betularia add Q865651 (en:Peppered moth ) or instead of Podocarpus latifolius adding Q164767 Monobit (talk) 13:03, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I am setting "taxon name" (universal), not "vernacular name"... --Ricordisamoa 18:06, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Update: SamoaBot can now set the correct properties and labels with Pywikipediabot: see Q10693392! --Ricordisamoa 14:12, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am also planning to import taxon author... --Ricordisamoa 16:15, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- As written here, SamoaBot can (and is willing to) change IUCN conservation status from extinction to extinct species; I'll do a test run soon. --Ricordisamoa 22:53, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Support, I am fine with this task.--Ymblanter (talk) 07:56, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
