Step-mother or Schwiegermutter (mother-in-law)?[edit]
There's a conflict between various language versions of this property - while the English one uses the label "step-mother", the German one (and some others, too) uses "Schwiegermutter" (=mother-in-law). It should be made clear what's the purpose of this property and repair the incorrect translation(s).--Šlomo (talk) 17:11, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- Well, I can't speak for Viscontino, who created this property, but the original description I gave was the description for a stepmother, i.e. the wife of one of the subject's parents (when said wife is not the subject's biological mother). Since that is the more-or-less universal meaning of "stepmother" in English, I'd assume that that's what Viscontino intended the property to be for, though, as I said, I can't speak for him. So while I can't answer as conclusively here as I did at Property talk:P43, my response is just the same: This should only be about stepmothers, and any translations not to that effect should be changed. Of course, there's nothing stopping anybody from creating a property for mothers-in-law (and fathers-in-law), assuming no one has already. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 17:42, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for reply. I corrected the German and Hebrew version, the other ones I'm able to check (fr, it, es, cs, hu) seem to be OK.--Šlomo (talk) 19:48, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- Well.. I created this property after Property:P43. I translated the item title of that one so I thought it was right to create this one.. and that's it. --Viscontino (talk) 19:53, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
