In the "Vecini" section take away Transnistria and Uniunuea Europeană[edit]
Moldova does not border with Transnistria, as nowhere is Transnistria accepted as an independent territory. It is still part of Moldova. European Union is not ever a country, and Moldova does not share borders with anyone except Ukraine or Romania. Please change it. I tried it, but was unable to find the location of this information
Russian language[edit]
Russian has been removed its special status in Moldova https://www.ipn.md/en/law-on-functioning-of-languages-declared-unconstitutional-7967_1079182.html, so there's no reason to keep the Russian name of the country anymore. - @Super Dromaeosaurus: I don't see how that news article is connected to what you've done – it involves status of the Russian (Q7737) in Moldova while you have been removing references to the so-called Moldovan (Q36392). There was one instance when you've removed a reference to Russian (Q7737), but as far as I can see in Wikidata:Requests_for_deletions/Archive/2015/Properties/1#P743 the short name (P1813) property is not supposed to only feature a country's official language(s) – I could add Chinese (Q7850) and it would still be valid.
- Be advised that in Moldova (Q217) the official language, at least de jure (as written in the Constitution of Moldova (Q1994954)) is Moldovan (Q36392) based on Latin script (Q8229). Gikü (talk) 16:16, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, I did not know that, I thought we only were supposed to add short names of the official languages of the country in question. Thank you for the notice. And yes, I know the official language is "Moldovan", but the one that was used in the Moldovan Declaration of Independence was "Romanian". Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 16:23, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
