I think it's important that admins have some understanding of the community side of the project, and preferably do some counter-vandalism. But, the user has a lot of experience across Wikimedia, and these things aren't hard to learn with that background. However, the candidate's experience on Wikidata is a bit weak, and the syntax error in the signature (it used namespace aliases that work on some Wikipedias but don't work on Wikidata) swayed me towards the oppose side. 回答：

  1. 私以为每次将破坏编辑恢复到正常的编辑，这是最自豪的。因为在下觉得维基数据的每一个项中的数据都应该是真实，可靠，可供查证的。而破坏编辑通常都是带有恶作剧性的，譬如将男性更改为女性，将出生日期由1725年更改为2050年。这样会让人觉得进了个搞笑的网站而不是严谨的。
  2. 判断一个人是否应得到ipbe，我会查看他在全域各个项目的情况，譬如编辑数，在其他维基计划有没有被封禁或被查出有滥用过傀儡的情况。其次，我会看他所处的情况是否真的非使用代理不可，如果是那就看看他是否拥有gipbe，因为根据愚的经验绝大多数的代理都能通过gipbe来避免ip封禁。但只有极少数例外譬如有次在下的ip刚好和某个破坏者的ip属于同一个ip段。所以在下才在那后申请本地ipbe来避免这种情况再次发生。当然如果有人也遇到像在下这种情况在下会先进行确认，为真则看情况来给临时的ipbe。
  3. 签名“Catherine Laurence”为在下的一个傀儡帐号。当初注册是为了在公共场所使用，后来就因为有2fa故不再使用。

Hi, I am an active user on Wikidata and a native Spanish speaker. I daily deal with trolls vandalizing items and/or creating vandalism-only pages that sometimes are persistent and I have to report them to administrators. There is a high amount of Spanish-speaking vandals that often are not caught and their actions aren't reverted. I think I could be useful to fight against vandalism as an administrator, which would be my main task with that role. I don't have a large amount of edits, but I have knowledge of the policies and functioning of Wikidata, so I would like the community to consider me as an administrator. Unfortunately I also see such behaviour here: for instance, this is clearly disputable as no good source is given for either and local Wikipedia went for the reverted version. This revert is much worse: it is simply wrong, Surbiton is more accurate than London while we require the most accurate birthplace, and can be easily sourced (I added just one source, while previous value was automatically copied from Wikipedia).   17.  Oppose Wikidata policy is made in English and even when it's highly useful to have admins who understand other languages as well, it's important for admins to be able to follow the policy debates on Wikidata well to be able to act according to it's policies. I don't think users that have to rely on Google Translate for discussing in English have the necessary English skills to be a good administrator on Wikidata. @Rschen7754: no, I don't think, that this is a competition. I said this as an example. Also in Wikidata:Canvassing I saw "It is proposed that this informational page become a policy or guideline". I did not write it to all my colleagues, but only to those who are often edited by Wikidata. One of my colleagues already objected. Wikidata:Canvassing is indeed not a policy, but in general canvassing is not seen as acceptable by significant parts of this community, which is the reason for the incoming opposing votes. Please don't feel discouraged and continue your work, so that a future request for adminship without canvassing will have a higher chance of being successful. On a sidenote: You are welcome to write in Ukrainian here, this is a multilingual project.   • I don't think there's a big need to oppose for canvassing here, and I certainly hope that opposers won't hold this against the user in the future. Other projects, especially smaller ones, tend to be more open to informing other people about ongoing votes and such. Hi guys. I'm Stangalvine, but my name is Rafael. I'm speak portuguese (fluently), spanish and english (not perfect), and have a basic understand of another latin languages (italian, french...). I work at Wikidata in two aspects:

  1. activies related to portuguese - monitoring changes of terms in pt, upgrading itens related to pt.wiki, etc;
  2. counter-vandalism, monitoring of new pages, requesting delete, block and protect;

Globally, if it's relevant, I'm active at SWMT and already have experience with counter-vandalism at pt.wiki and various small projects.

After received rollback rights, my work has been very facilited and I became more active. I request admin rights to done by myself the deletion, protect and block that I detect and need in my daily work on here. I already did requests at WD:RFD and WD:AN and I know the policies of this tools.

Hi! I'm Dimon2711. Despite the fact that I was advised to wait a few more months, I still submit a request. My mission is not to get the flag but to benefit the project. I can continue to rollback the vandalism and report it to WD:AN, but the vandals, if we do not block them, they come back. Some of my requests are responding in a few hours or even a day. It is extremely long. I made more edits in the last month than a whole bunch of administrators. All of comments in the past application have been taken into consideration. I won't use canvassing, I've upgraded my English skills, but it's still not perfect, I got a bit of experience. With the rules of admins, I am introduced that I can prove that I translated a significant part of these rules into Ukrainian and have administrator rights on the Ukrainian Wikivoyage. Also, we do not have administrators who understand Ukrainian. I'm often asked for help with Wikidata, but sometimes it requires admin permissions. Hope to support.   • The profession of faith is not devoid of common sense and I feel a burning desire to help. It is clear that an admin is welcome on this project. You could see that WD is easy to edit, be open to criticism too. In WD, there are many other things you have not touched on (the regulation of property proposals is also lacking), but you have the right to only deal with vandalism as an admin. But it must be done according to the guidelines. Myself, I understood that: to be interested in other aspects of this project is also a way to learn more about how it works. I am involved in many non-sysop tasks at Wikidata, I think that I am generally well prepared for this adminship. In case of a successful RfA I would thus help the administrator team to deal with everyday tasks. Hello everyone, I am 1997kB. I am a native Hindi and advanced English speaker.

On other projects, I am a global renamer, rollbacker, and SPI clerk on English Wikipedia. On Wikidata I edits items related to India or Hindi/English Wikipedia, apart from that I also watch over recent changes and deletion discussions.

Having this bit will increase my ability to remove/stop vandalism which I found during patrolling as well as over deletion page. Also I would like to mention that I have no sysop experience over any projects, but I think I am always careful with new buttons and assure that if elected, will not misuse the tools.

Not active in the Project chat. It’s important for a sysop to gain trust. That have 1997kB done by being super helpful at “Requests for deletions” and merging pages. 1997kB have also helped out a lot by fighting vandalism with rollback and placing “Uw-vandalism” on user talk pages. 1997kB do unfortunately only have (per June 23, 2019) 336 patrols.   • Known for incredible stats on SWMT, but rather invisible here ?! I was interested in this user's Wikiscan and that's what I understood: It's like a new user. At the end of May 2019, he counted 2619 editions in almost 2 years. He touched 4 Properties and 1 Lexeme, but only during patrol. In short, 95% of the editions are modifications of Items (including 26 creations), the rest is roughly shared between RfD, AN and User Talk. Properties and Lexemes and everything attached to it has not been addressed. This is what differentiates WP from WD: the properties are in all Items. This is the same application as Dimon2711. Hello @Eihel:, Thanks for the comment. As you can see I have started editing Wikidata in 2018, (before that are just page moves happened automatically). So from then to till this day I have been always interested in anti-vandalism and spam on Hindi related topics (in starting) and now overall I patrol recent changes. That's the big reason I have activity only on pages such as RFDs and AN. Now comming to answers of your questions — Will I leave after getting the flag? Well I don't think that's an appropriate questions as it feels that we are here for our personal benefit. I am a volunteer as you and as others and in my capacity until I have free time, I'll be dedicated to Wikimedia movement. Will I approach property proposal? Well you might be disappointed by my answer, but I think there are many other people doing better than me, so at this time.. No, also as I have already clarified my area of interest, I'll not head to something that I'm not interested. I hope this answers all your questions and once again thanks. Hello, here is Catherine Laurence (formerly Wildly boy) in the application administrator. I know that the 2630 edits is a bit less for this wiki, but for the following reasons I decided to apply for an administrator again:

  1. Since May, GFW has continued to grow. Most Wikimedia projects are now inaccessible in mainland China. This allows wiki people from mainland China have to use open proxy to edit wikipedia and wikidata. However, it is usually not editable because it is limited by local bans and global bans. I asked them to apply for ipbe/gipbe in SRGP and WD:RFR, but most of them gave up further contributions to wikidata because they knew they would apply in English. This is undoubtedly a major loss for wikidata. I want to help them after the application is successful, giving them a local ipbe without having to apply in English.
  2. I have been checking recent changes and new pages since the last application failed. A lot of problems have been discovered: Quick delete pages marked as spam usually take a day to be processed. Some WD:ANs are archived without processing (eg [1]). This is a normal phenomenon for a small wiki project. But wikidata is clearly not a small wiki project. So I would like to take this opportunity to help with some requests that require administrator assistance.

    I feel that welcoming users is not just using {{Welcome}} on the User_talk page, but teaching them how to use wikidata. (As I did in a non-public group) . And then the reason that prompted me to rfa for the second time was that I think the administrator processing rate is too slow. For example, if I mention the speedy delete page (eg.[2]), it usually takes about a day for the administrator to process it. It's hard to believe that this wiki have more than 50 administrators who in active a day. So I hope to help deal with some of the administrator's work, at least vandalism and advertising. The second is to better engage Chinese users. I also agree with other points of view. Whether or not I will pass this time, I will correct it according to your point of view. On your previous RfA some users opposed you due to your lack of experience on Wikidata. However, they agreed you do a good xwiki work. I've checked your past 1000 edits and I couldn't find any hint that this has changed. Most of your contributions are reverts and updates on items, which is not bad, but I dind't see interactions with the community (such as comments regarding any topic), which I think administrators should have. For me, being a sysop isn't just to know what to revert or when to block, but to know the community side of the project as well. I do like your concern regarding Chinese users and your provision to help, but I think you still lack experience. I don't want to cast my vote without reading your response, so I kindly ask you to reply this with arguments based on your point of view.   • I didn't participate in too much discussion because I was not confident in my English ability, and I couldn't spend too much time on the Internet because of my academic reasons. Of course I also agree with your point of view so I am trying to change (although time is really difficult).
  • The second one is about my personal contribution. My recent contribution is really mainly about restoring and updating projects. But in telegrame, qq, I am also working on teaching other wiki people from China how to use wikidata. Although their operations may still have errors, such as the request deletion of duplicated items, it is much better than before. But it also gives some vandals an opportunity. Because today's wikidata doesn't have any filters that protect against corruption or advertising from Chinese, it makes me have a lot of trouble checking my recent changes. So I want to apply for an administrator to use the administrator tool to better assist the Chinese community, such as the ipbe mentioned above, delete the pages they created incorrectly, and handle the operations that require administrators in chat groups such as telegrame. The aspect is to study a filter that filters Chinese damage or advertising. I believe this is a good idea for wikidata.

Thank you for your answer. As a non-native English speaker, I completely understand that communicating in another language can be a challenge sometimes, and we all have responsabilities in real life. But as I said above, I think it is important that administrators understand the community side of the project. I have doubts that you possess good knowledge of vandalism, spam and related stuff, and your desire to help the Chinese community is really amazing. Said that, the concern regarding the lack of interaction with the community is reduced, but still would like to see you engaged with the community; this way you get more experience.   • As far as allowing IP block requests to be in Chinese, I feel that would require a reworking of the request page to say explicitly that non-English requests for it are welcome.
