While looking at looted art by Friedrich von Amerling, I stumbled upon this excellent art site. It's got:
- 250k artworks, eg
- 11746 artists
- 5075 museums
- ~50 art movements (no separate URLs)
- 30 mythological figures
Although the site says © 2000–2014, it's updated continuously through user activity, eg 1060 image uploads in July 2017 alone.
Its license is equivalent to CC-BY "You can reuse the artwork in any way, as long as you credit us" but if we talk to them, they can possibly agree to CC0. However images uploaded by users may have different copyright: see last col at artworks by artist

- Discussion
- Oppose as written; there are contradictory statements about one, three or five properties. The formatter URL given is unworkable, and the first three example values invalid. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:52, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
- I'm proposing 3 props. @Pigsonthewing: would you care to comment to Magnus whether you agree with the need for FormatterURL to be more flexible than at present? --Vladimir Alexiev (talk) 17:27, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
- You propose three properties, You give five types of example; yet only one formatter URL. This is not the place to propose changes to the way formatter URLs work; we cannot pass a property proposal that is dependent upon such a change; and Magnus is not the gatekeeper for such changes. I suggest you withdraw this proposal, and then either i) make three, separate proposals, each with a single type of example and a unique formatter URL, or ii) propose a change to the way formatter URLs work, on project chat, and hold your property proposals until that is resolved. - Ok, edited to 3 props. @Pigsonthewing: please comment at Wikidata:Project_chat#Need more flexible Formatter URL. --Vladimir Alexiev (talk) 15:24, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

- Support This is a valuable addition to the identifier universe. Vladimir has addressed formatting issue. Support BrillLyle (talk) 17:11, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
- Support Seems to be a good source of information. All three properties will be useful. (apologies, I initially forgot to sign) Sic19 (talk) 20:49, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
- Support. These 3 proposals look like useful, relevant sources of information about the art world. YULdigitalpreservation (talk) 12:12, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
