This page is a documentation page for assisting contributions to Marathi (Q1571) language.
Wikidata:Lexicographical data project aims to store all lexemes of all languages in a structured model under a CC0 (public domain dedication) license. Its goal is to provide a CC0 licensed structured lexicographical data for everyone to use for different purposes, including for Wiktionary, the upcoming Abstract Wikipedia and external projects.
Layout
[edit]Every lexeme entry has the following layout:
- Lemma (dictionary form) of the lexeme as title or headword, along with lexeme ID. Language code and lexical category is also given. The lexical categoryis preferred to be broad as possible.
- Senses - different meanings of the same word
- Statements for senses. This usually includes image, item for this sense, translation, synonym, antonym, usage example, and more (see list). Note that for translation, antonym, & synonym properties, the lexeme "sense ID" (
LXXXXX-S1) of the target lexeme has to be copy pasted, not the lexeme ID.

- Forms - different forms and cases of the lexeme.
Inclusion criteria
[edit]See Wikidata:Lexicographical data/Notability and Wikidata:Lexicographical data/Documentation. Basically, you can add all the Marathi word entries that can be found in dictionaries. Note that only Lexemes are allowed in Lexeme namespace; graphemes and phonemes is to be stored as items.

- Use Special:NewLexeme to add a Marathi word entry
- Create a Wikidata:Wikidata Lexeme Forms page
